2021 Nissan Navara Price, King Cab, Specs, and Engines. There are several reasons why we believe that the 2021 Nissan Navara won’t bring more important novelties. Of course, the first one that comes to mind is the recent update. It was mild but still introduced a couple of interesting novelties, both in terms of styling and in the mechanical aspect. Keep in mind that the Japanese manufacturer is now focused on the next-generation Frontier, which is about to come completely redesigned after a full 15 years. This truck will borrow many design solutions from Navara, so we are pretty sure that the company won’t touch this internationally-offered truck too much.
That’s not a bad thing at all. The current model is one of the best choices when it comes to mid-size pickup trucks. Excellent driving characteristics along with respectable working capabilities make this truck one of the most versatile mules in the class. The recent updates have brought novelties on the inside, so the 2021 Nissan Navara will be a nice place to sit in without any doubt. We expect to see it on the market sometime in the last quarter of the year.
2021 Nissan Navara Engine
The recent update has also brought some interesting novelties under the hood. There is a new 6-speed manual gearbox. The base version of the familiar 2.3-liter turbodiesel gets a little bit more torque, while the max power remained the same, around 160 horsepower.
We presume that the next year won’t bring changes. Base models will continue with the recently revised engine that delivers 160 horsepower and come either in pair with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. There is a more powerful version of the engine, good for about 190 horsepower.
Some reports suggest we could see a new, 2021 Nissan Navara V6 version. In this case, the popular truck would get the same V6 engine you can find in the X-Class. It is a 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, which delivers around 255 horsepower and 406 horsepower. This engine would be available exclusively with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The thing is that this is still just a rumor. The company is quiet on this matter and most likely, this version won’t happen. All in all, don’t put too much hope on it.
2021 Nissan Navara Design
In terms of base design characteristics, we definitely don’t expect to see any particular change. The current model should carry on for a couple of more years, so Nissan Navara 2021 model should remain pretty much untouched. We have seen a couple of nice updates in the current 2020 model. There are some nice visual updates, such as new LED headlights, as well as new wheels design.
Novelties in terms of aesthetics, there are also some nice mechanical upgrades. Rear disc brakes are now standard, as well as a new multi-link rear suspension which improves comfort and rides quality and also adds another inch to the ground clearance.
Interior
When it comes to interior design, the recent update has brought a new infotainment system. There is a new 8-inch touchscreen, which comes with new software and Apple CarPlay as standard features. On the other side, the overall cabin design has remained pretty much the same. There is a familiar dashboard design, so we may expect to see the same approach in the 2021 Nissan Navara. At this point, it is still early for details, but it wouldn’t be a surprise if we see novelties in terms of new interior schemes and a couple of new standard features.
2021 Nissan Navara Release Date and Price
We expect to see 2021 Nissan Navara sometime late in the year. At this point, we don’t know if there are some price changes to come but most likely, things won’t change too much. Of course, the price largely depends on the market. The UK version starts at around 21.850 pounds.
Nissan Navara will be manufactured in South Africa
This pickup truck is popular across the whole planet, so it’s no wonder that it is produced in various parts of the world, including China, Thailand, Spain, Argentina and Mexico. As the sales numbers are growing, it looks like we are about to see another assembly to produce Navara.
More precisely, the 2021 Nissan Navara will be also produced in South Africa. The Japanese manufacturer already has an assembly in this country, in Cape Town. It produces models like NP200 and NP300. Because of Navara, the assembly will be expanded and it looks like it will be able to assemble more than 35.000 Navara trucks in a year. This is great news for South Africa, as this will employ 1200 new workers.
