2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Speed, Price, and Redesign

2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Speed, Price, and Redesign. The forthcoming 2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x is an off-road pickup truck that should gain more refreshments later next year. Frontier is a versatile model that looks good, and it provides great performance. However, its Pro 4x variant is more off-road oriented. And just like the regular model, Frontier Pro 4x will get mostly the same updates.

Changes are much-needed as Ford is introducing refreshed Ranger pickup and Jeep will introduce a brand-new Gladiator model. For that reason, the 2021 Frontier is getting further updates. We can expect the next-gen Frontier, although the information is yet to be confirmed. With that in mind, Nissan could go all-in and provide more drastic changes and upgrades.

2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Engine Specs

The future 2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x will drop the current 4.0-liter V6. Additionally, the Japanese manufacturer will deliver a new 3.0-liter turbo V6 powertrain. According to Nissan, this engine will generate around 300 horses in the base trim level.

Pro 4x will use the same engine, but thanks to re-tuning, this engine could provide almost 400 horsepower. The new gearbox is also available, and it will be a 7-speed automatic transmission. The new transmission will surely provide smoother shifts and overall, ride quality is improved, drastically. Interestingly, but you can also buy a 7-speed manual gearbox.

2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x Changes

As for the exterior design, all trim levels and versions will get serious updates. That also includes the upcoming 2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x. This off-road variant will continue to ride on the current F-Alpha architecture. On the other hand, the very same platform will suffer the latest modifications. Thanks to that, the new Frontier will be mechanically closer to the Nissan Navara pickup.

Pro 4x version will especially benefit from the latest changes, mostly in the off-road category. This pickup should obtain a new suspension, and it will offer new off-road tires and skid plates. Design-wise, Frontier will borrow a couple of styling cues from the Navara model. If the new-generation arrives in 2021, then a complete redesign will surely happen.

Interior Updates

Inside the cabin, the new 2021 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x won’t largely depart from the regular model. If the next-gen model arrives, the interior will largely depart from Navarra’s interior design. Still, Frontier will surely keep most of the current cues and features.

Price and Release Date

No matter what happens in the next year, the new Nissan Frontier Pro 4x will cost more. The new model will start at $36,000. The off-road version will go on sale at the same time as the regular Frontier model.

A release date hasn’t been specified yet, but you can expect for this pickup to arrive in the second half of 2020. Remember, there is a good chance for 2021 Frontier to arrive as the next-gen model.
