2021 Nissan Juke: Concept, Redesign, Price, and Specs

2021 Nissan Juke: Concept, Redesign, Price, and Specs. Nissan’s compact-sized Juke crossover SUV arrived all-new last year but the recipe is the same. The model switched to the new platform and has modernized exterior and interior but it is still a quirky styled, practical, high-riding model with a characterful cabin. The newest Juke priorities again sharp handling while the power comes from the new three-cylinder engine. The model is also equipped with modern tech features including driver-assist systems.

As for the next 2021 Nissan Juke, the model will come with the revised equipment availability and reports indicate that an additional trim option could appear. Nissan will also offer new color and wheel options. It’s not clear yet if the new more potent engine option will appear.

News

Following the last year’s redesign, the next 2021 Nissan Juke will return in the same styling form. Nissan should bring new color and wheel patterns for the new model year and the new, uniquely styled version could appear as some reports indicate.

2021 Nissan Juke Interior

The second-generation Juke hasn’t changed the winning formula despite it is a vastly improved model. The newest Juke shares the platform with the Renault Clio and Captur. The CMF-B architecture is Renault-Nissan Alliance’s design to cover a wide range of models allowing the use of electric powertrains, advanced driving aids and self-driving technologies as well as modern connectivity tech.

From the visual point of view, the newest Juke applies the same recipe but in the modernized form. The front section of the model wears the brand’s new V-motion grille mixed with the slim signature lighting and main projectors divided in the two-tier arrangement. This recipe will also be used for the brand’s upcoming models such as the all-new Roque.

The Juke has also a sculpted front bumper and sharply defined profile body lines. The rear is also designed in the manner of the sports car.

2021 Nissan Juke Performance

Thanks to the modern, modular and lightweight CMF-B platform the newest Juke is 51 pounds lighter and the power comes from the new small-displacement engine. A 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine is equipped with the turbocharger and the power delivery is 117 hp. The engine can be combined with the 6-speed manual gearbox or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

The engine is quiet and reasonably efficient. The model accelerates to 62 mph in 10.4 seconds with the manual transmission while with the DCT auto it needs 11.1 seconds.

The model’s chassis is rigid and it has great body roll control. The handling is also good as well as steering but an underpowered engine can’t provide dynamic drive. The previous version used a more potent 1.6-liter turbocharged engine good for 188 hp.

The newest Juke definitely needs a more potent engine option to become even more appealing but there no signs yet that 2021 Nissan Juke will come with such an option for the next model year.

Interior, Equipment

The next 2021 Nissan Juke won’t also come with significant upgrades inside the cabin.

Thanks to the recent redesign and larger proportion and wheelbase, the model benefits from the more comfortable rear seating and 20 percent increased cargo capacity.

The Juke has also a modern in-cab design. The dash holds a floating-style 8-inch center touchscreen while circular air vents and controls sit below. The flat-bottom, multifunction steering wheel is also there and an attractive and clear instrument cluster. The model comes with nice materials and trims accents.

At the equipped level, the model starts with LED headlights, traffic sign recognition, a DAB radio, Apple Car and Android Auto, etc. The mid-range version comes with a leather-trimmed steering wheel, climate control, keyless go, and more. The top-grade version gets upgraded upholstery, 19-inch wheels, Bose sound system, heated seats, etc.

The Juke comes also with Nissan’s Advanced Safety shield with the systems such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, around view monitor, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, etc.

2021 Nissan Juke Release, Price

The next 2021 Nissan Juke will go on sale by the end of the year. With no significant upgrades on the horizon, the price should stay close to the current. The current Juke starts from EUR18,990 and goes over EUR30,000 for the best-equipped version.

The brand hasn’t shown an intention to bring the Nissan Juke to the US.
