Again, the same drive type and transmission are coming in this package. If you want more energy, a 1.6-liter gasoline engine is a right choice. It will add 5 more horsepower compared to a 1.3 setup and drop the 0-60 sprint time to 9 seconds. It is not the largest engine in the lineup. A 2.0-liter is the biggest, but not the most powerful with 150 hp and 150 lb-ft of twist. Rogue Sport will offer this one in the US.
Standard 2021 Nissan Qashqai diesel mill for Europe is a 1.6-liter model. Engineers tuned it with three different setups. All of them return 130 hp (95 kW) and 235 lb-ft (320 Nm). An all-wheel drive is optional. The fastest configuration will accelerate 0-60 mph in 10 seconds. You can find the Xtronic transmission instead of the DCT. The cooperation with Renault brought a new powerplant to Nissan’s portfolio. Famous 1.5-liter dCi is producing 108 hp and 192 lb-ft and uses 4 × 2 drive only.
2021 Nissan Qashqai Changes, Future Redesign
The current edition of the crossover arrived in 2013. The last update happened on the 2018 YM. Now, it is time for another facelift. Nissan is planning a big attack to the US market. All vehicles will be revisited and refreshed, with the focus on hybrid and electric drivetrains. Well, Qashqai will need the same source of power, since Toyota Rav4 and Honda CR-V are already out in Europe with such setups.
