This model will arrive later in 2019 and it will introduce very minor upgrades. There won’t be a real difference between the current and the future model. Only slight updates from the inside will happen. That includes an updated infotainment system and similar technology updates. Whatsoever, ZR2 is a high-performance variant with the purpose to tackle the toughest terrains.

Powertrain Options
Just like the current model, the 2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will offer the same engine lineup. That includes two powertrain options. A standard 3.6-liter V6 is producing up to 305 HP and 275 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with 8-speed automatic transmission. Systems such as direct fuel injection and variable valve timing are included. A smaller 2.8-liter Duramax engine is optional.
This turbodiesel unit is providing fewer horses, up to 180 HP. 370 lb-ft of torque is what the customers like to see. Unlike the standard engine, optional powertrain offers a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison Looks More Rugged and More Aggressive
Chevrolet is offering an even more off-road capable beast. A Bison variant is available once again. This pickup truck offers even wilder appearance. It looks more rugged and more aggressive.
It uses the same 3.6-liter V6 engine. On the other hand, Bison variant comes with unique grille, wheels, tires and skid plates. It also offers electronic locking differentials and new suspension. Stability is better as Bison is 3.5-inches wider than the ZR2 version.
2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Is Unique and Attractive
When you look at it, even the base Colorado model is looking aggressive and modern. There is plenty of customers that always want more. That is the reason why the ZR2 is a very popular choice. The 2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2 looks really unique and attractive. Unlike regular model, ZR2 is available in Crew and Extended Cab body configurations.
Some features are the same as on the base model. That includes the roof, tailgate, and doors. On the other hand, the rest of the body will largely depart. Price and Release Date
The forthcoming 2020 Chevy Colorado ZR2 will retain its current price. That means the off-road pickup truck will start at $45,000. That price is somewhere between the Ford Raptor and Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. If you want a wilder ride, ZR2 Bison cost slightly below $55,000. Chevrolet’s new pickup truck will hit the markets later in 2019.
