2021 Dodge Challenger Rumors, Concept, Hellcat, and Redesign. The approaching 2021 Dodge Challenger is very fast and powerful muscle-car. Even the base model offers great power thanks to a V6 engine and all-wheel drive setup. According to some recent information and announcements, the fans of Dodge vehicles and the speed enthusiasts may start looking forward to its upcoming models Charger and 2021 Dodge Challenger. Namely, we may have to wait a bit to see these major redesigns since the new Challenger should hit the market no earlier than 2021 or 2021 due to its possible new platform.

The forthcoming 2021 Dodge Challenger comes with five engine options. The base model can be equipped with three drivetrains options, while the other two units are reserved for Hellcat and SRT Demon models. The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that cranks 305 HP and 268 lb-ft of torque. The optional drivetrain is a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 makes 400 HP and 410 lb-ft of torque.

Third and final option for base Challenger model is a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 that is capable of producing up to 485 HP and 475 lb-ft of torque.

Premium SRT Hellcat model is equipped with a devilish 6.2-liter Hemi V8. This supercharged unit can burst 707 HP and 650 lb-ft of torque. Top-range SRT Demon model brings even more power thanks to the same 6.2-liter V8 that produces astonishing 808 HP and 840 lb-ft of torque. The top speed of this model is 176 mph, while acceleration from 0 to 60 mph is in 4,2 sec.

Fuel Economy

In the fuel economy section, the upcoming 2021 Dodge Challenger will give better consumption than the predecessor. The V6 engine offers 19/30 mpg for the model with RWD system and 18/27 mpg for the AWD. The Hemi V8 5.7-liter with manual transmission gives 14/23 mpg and 15/25 mpg for the automatic gearbox, while the other one 6.4-liter 15/25 mpg and 14/23 mpg.

The supercharged Hemi V8 that is available in SRT Hellcat model delivers 13/22 mpg for the automatic and 13/21 mpg for the manual. The last one that powers SRT Demon model provides EPA city/highway fuel economy of 13/22 mpg.

2021 Dodge Challenger Exterior Facelift

The 2021 Dodge Challenger comes with a classic long hood and short deck proportions. The exterior is highlighted thanks to a wide stance. If the wide stance is not good enough for you, Challenger offers a Hellcat widebody model that adds wider tires, better handling and plenty of available colors with extremely popular Plum Crazy exterior paint among them. The dimension numbers are similar as in predecessor. The new model length 198 inches and its width is 75.5 inch. The wheelbase dimension is little changes and now measures 199 inches.

The rear seats can accommodate up to three passengers, which is rare for a muscle car. The interior of this sports car will get many customizations. There is cloth and leather combinations and five colors options Black, Black/Sepia, Demonic Red/Black that is our favorite, Pearl/Black, Ruby Red/Black and Sepia/Black.

Improved Safety

The safety of the newest 2019 Dodge Challenger is more improved if we look at the predecessor. This model gains more safety features in the standard package. Thanks to the advanced Electronic Stability Control, Roll Stability Control, Side Impact Beams, Curtain airbags for 1st and 2nd Row, Parkview Back-Up Camera, ParkSense Rear Parking Sensors this model gain better score than current one model. We also expect more features in the final version of the car.

2021 Dodge Challenger Price and Launch Date

The base 2021 Dodge Challenger as the current one will start at $28,500. GT trim brings all-wheel drive setup in the offer and better-equipped interior for $34,500. SRT Hellcat will cost $68,000 and SRT Demon around $85,000.

We can expect the newest Dodge Challenger to hit the showrooms later this year, while SRT Demon should become available at some point in 2021.
