The new Toyota Rush has just been presented in Indonesia and it represents a compact crossover SUV with an ability to haul seven passengers and dimensionally it is smaller than the Toyota Fortuner. It is the 2018 model year which has gotten several upgrades but the newest version is also expected to arrive next year and it is the 2019 Toyota Rush
The Toyota Rush will share similar dimensions with the Honda BR-V. It is nicely designed and looks handsome from every angle. The interior is also well-done with sleek and quality design. Under the hood, the Rush features a 4-cylinder petrol engine and unfortunately, it is not available with a diesel unit.
The 2018 model year has been revamped with several styling upgrades which are mostly visible on the front end and those include a new design of the grille and revised headlamps. The cabin is comfortable and depending on a trim level, there will be plenty of advanced safety and infotainment features. The 2019 Rush might get some changes in the technology department, but besides that, we don’t expect any large upgrades.

2019 Toyota Rush Engine and performance
When it comes to the engine, the new 2019 Toyota Rush will carry on with the same engine as the 2018 model year and there is one single option. It is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine which is able to make 107 horses and the torque of 103 pound-feet. This engine will work with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission. The rear-wheel drive system will be standard.
Design of exterior and interior
The exterior design of the 2019 Toyota Rush very handsome, well proportioned and attractive. There shouldn’t be changes compared to the current model since it has just gotten a few changes. It features a traditional SUV shape with sleek and sporty lines. The front end is dominated by a four-slat chrome grille and a pair of slim LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights. There is also a redesigned front bumper and rounded for lamps. The standard version will use 16-inch wheels while the range-topping TRD Sportive will ride on the 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the 2019 Toyota Rush is quality, nicely designed and modern. All the versions will come standard with tilt-adjusted steering, a reversing camera, and push-button start. The TRD Sportivo trim levels will feature a two-tone design dashboard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. There will also be an automatic air-conditioning with digital display, premium audio system, Bluetooth, USB, CD player and radio, smartphone compatibility, keyless entry, and so on. In the safety department, there will be six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill start assist and stability control.
Release date and price
The current model should arrive later this year. The arrival of the newest 2019 Toyota Rush is not yet confirms. The price should stay similar to the one of the 2018 model year.
