The German carmaker has decided to expand its lineup with the all-new SUV which will enter the market as the 2019 Audi Q6 The new Q6 will sit between the smaller Q5 and the larger Q7 models. As well, this model should arrive as an all-electric vehicle and should be very similar to the Audi E-Tron Concept. According to some sources, the Q6 might also get the e-tron badge or perhaps might be called the Audi E-Tron SUV.

2019 Audi Q6 is expected to make its entrance as the all-electric vehicle. And it will most likely feature one larger electric motor on the front while the two smaller ones will be placed on the rear axle. There will also be a lithium-ion battery pack of 95 kWh and the total output of this unit will be around 430 horsepower in the concept model. The production model should be able to generate 495 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque.

It is also said that it will be capable to hit 62 mph in 4.6 seconds and will have the top speed of 130 mph. The new Q6 SUV should provide the range of at least 250 miles; the concept version is expected to provide the range of 310 miles on a single charge according to the manufacturer. As well, with the 150 kWh fast-charging system the battery will be charged to 80 percent in around 30 minutes.
Design of exterior and interior
As for the dimensions, the all-new 2019 Audi Q6 will stand between the smaller Q5 and the mid-size Q7 SUVs. Design-wise, the 2019 Audi Q6 will inherit many design cues from the concept model. The production version will feature the same wide and short grille which will get several large holes in the. There are also sleek headlamps which are pretty much the same as in the concept model. The profile of the vehicle features a nice SUV shape with the slightly sloped roofline. However, we couldn’t find out more about the taillights because of the camouflage. But we doubt that it will get the full-width lights. Naturally, since it is an all-electric vehicle, there won’t be exhaust outlets.
As far as the interior design of the 2019 Audi Q6 is concerned, there isn’t much precise information. It is said that we shouldn’t expect to be the same as in the concept model. However, it could get the same flat-bottom steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, and the high center console. As for the interior space, the Q6 should offer a spacious cabin with two rows of seats and generous cargo space. The rear seats should be electronically controlled and the rear tailgate will probably be electric too. We expect the latest safety and infotainment technology.
